Old Flames
As the Inaugural post for my new website, I wanted to welcome anyone and everyone landing on my page to join me on my journey. It is here that I plan to document and explore lighting set ups, retouching processes, and even just challenge myself to grow as a person and photographer.
I am a professional retoucher in Dallas, TX, currently employed by the great Chewy.com. That’s right I get to spend my days editing for the fabulous pet site while getting to play around with all of the studio pups. Although, my job has been a wonderful growing experience, I feel like I have been in a creative funk since I graduated in 2016. Considering that almost 4 years have passed, I figured it is time to fire up the old creative heart and actually start producing work again.
My main intention with this creative fuel is to commit myself to making work and even documenting it for myself to refer back to as I move forward. I tend to enjoy a lot of the analytical stuff and I think requiring myself to document the process will help me continue pursuing my aspirations.
So to keep this first post brief and interesting, I hope that if anyone does end up following this blog, that I can provide insight into my creative processes and (while I want to say execution what I really mean is…) experimentation.
